Community Policy

Our Community Policy covers all content from our website and blog, to our Facebook page, and beyond.

General Policy

Social Contxt is committed to direct, respectful communication at all times. After all, we are a social media company! We take pride in being transparent, fostering thought leadership in our field, and creating strong relationships with our constituents and supporters. We trust you are here to do the same.

We love hearing from you about the state of social media, the latest new integration tools, and feedback on anything we post. We welcome ideas different than our own and if a product of ours isn’t working properly, we want you to tell us. We are committed to vibrant discussion.

All you need to post comments on our site is a name, email, or Disqus account. We don’t require user registration or a lengthy comment approval time. But we do monitor our page and reserve the right to delete any comments that we believe to be:

  • Spam, solicitations, or advertising unrelated to the post
  • Abusive, malicious, derogatory, or use of excessively foul language
  • Bigoted, hateful, or offensive statements
  • Flaming and trolling
  • Anything illegal

We also reserve the right to ban any repeat offenders from using our comment system all together. So don’t write anything you wouldn’t be proud of if your mother stumbled across (we might have just hooked her organization up with some social media training).

We would also love for you to help us moderate our comments if you come across any violating these principles stated above. You can flag a post by hovering over the comment and clicking “flag” in the lower left corner underneath it, and we’ll check it out. Use this power wisely.

Let the commenting begin!
